Role Overview:

We are seeking a high-impact Product Engineer – Space Systems with strong technical depth and business acumen to drive product development, system integration, and market expansion across:

• RF Payloads & Communication Systems
• Electro-Optical Payloads / Remote Sensing
• Satellite Systems & Subsystems

You will act as a technical bridge between engineering, customers, and business teams, owning the full product lifecycle—from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Product Engineering & Development

• Support the design, development, integration, and validation of satellite systems, subsystems (ADCS, EPS, TTC), and payloads
• Translate customer mission requirements into technical specifications, system architectures, and engineering trade-offs
• Act as a technical interface between engineering, product, and business teams
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including:
• Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
• Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
• System Design Documents
• Test & Qualification Reports
• Participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), system validation, and qualification campaigns
• Support Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities and troubleshoot technical issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost optimization, reliability, and manufacturability
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery and mission success

Product Strategy & Business Development

• Provide technical inputs for proposals, bids, and customer discussions
• Develop technical proposals, whitepapers, presentations, and solution architectures
• Support Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for small satellites, payloads, and space services
• Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and emerging space technologies
• Contribute to product roadmap development and strategic positioning
• Engage with customers to define mission concepts and customized solutions
• Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and proposal submissions
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, space forums, and customer meetings
• Ensure smooth transition from business development to execution teams

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace / mechanical / electrical / systems engineering / physics
• 1–3 years of experience in:
• Space / Aerospace industry
• Product Engineering / Sales Engineering / Systems Engineering
• Strong knowledge of:
• Satellite systems & subsystems (ADCS, EPS, TTC, Payloads, Structures)
• Space mission lifecycle (design → integration → launch → operations)
• Systems engineering principles & design trade-offs
• Experience in technical documentation, proposals, and presentations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred / Good-to-Have:

• Experience or knowledge in:
• Small satellites / CubeSats / LEO constellations
• Earth Observation (EO) / Remote Sensing markets
• RF systems / satellite communications / payload design
• Familiarity with tools like STK, MATLAB, Python
• Knowledge of aerospace standards (ECSS, NASA, ISRO guidelines)
• Exposure to pre-sales, proposal writing, or customer-facing technical roles
• MBA or certification in Product Management / Business Strategy (plus)
