⚡ Power the Future — Be the Engineer Behind World-Class High Voltage Power ICs at Texas Instruments
At Texas Instruments, our High Voltage Power (HVP) team develops some of the world's most advanced power solutions — AC/DC controllers, isolated DC/DC converters, GaN-integrated power stages, and modules capable of withstanding several hundreds of volts. Now, we're expanding this capability to Bangalore — and we're looking for a talented Product Engineer to be part of this exciting journey from the very beginning.
🔎 About the Opportunity
This is a rare startup-like opportunity within the safety of TI's global umbrella. You won't just join a team — you'll help build one. As part of TI's new HVP investment in India, you'll work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with access to TI's world-class tools, global manufacturing network, and deep technical expertise.
We are looking for a driven Product Engineer (3–10 years of experience) to join the HVP team in Bangalore — responsible for product qualification, reliability, yield management, characterization, and production release of high-voltage industrial and automotive power controller ICs and GaN power stages.
📌 Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality & Reliability teams in all aspects of new product development and production release
- Work with process and package technology development to qualify technologies for new products
- Partner with global manufacturing facilities to address product quality, yield management, and cost reduction on mature products — including product spins and derivatives
- Develop and implement Qualification plans — including sHTOL, dHTOL, ELFR, BHAST, and PTC board design for analog product qualification
- Perform evaluation, debug, and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet product requirement specs and manufacturing requirements
- Work with Failure Analysis (FA) teams to determine root causes of reliability and qualification failures
- Coordinate with planning teams to ensure smooth device ramp post Release to Manufacturing (RTM)
- Qualify second-source wafer fab, Assembly/Test (A/T) facilities, and BOM to ensure device continuity of supply
- Drive test conversion, test time reduction, and yield improvements to achieve device entitlement and operational transfer cost (OTC)
- Partner with wafer fabrication and A/T sites to guarantee schedule, cost, and quality targets
- Communicate weekly to management on project status and key milestones
🛠️ Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
- 3–10 years of experience in product engineering, IC qualification, or semiconductor product development
- Strong understanding of analog IC product development processes — qualification, characterization, yield, and reliability
- Experience designing qualification boards (sHTOL, dHTOL, ELFR, BHAST, PTC) for analog products
- Proven ability to debug and characterize integrated circuits against product requirement specifications
- Experience working with wafer fab and assembly/test manufacturing sites
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills
- Ability to own deliverables and schedules independently with minimal supervision
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-voltage power IC product engineering — AC/DC controllers, DC/DC converters, or GaN power stages
- Familiarity with GaN semiconductor technology and wide-bandgap power device qualification
- Experience in second-source qualification of wafer fab, A/T facilities, and BOM management
- Knowledge of test conversion, test time reduction, and OTC optimization
- Prior experience working with global manufacturing networks across fab, assembly, and test sites
- Understanding of failure analysis (FA) methods for power IC reliability and qualification
- Experience with device ramp planning and RTM coordination
- Strong analytical skills in yield management and cost reduction for mature products
