KX9 is a full-stack nutraceutical R&D and custom manufacturing company. We develop protein supplements, functional foods, and nutraceutical formulations for brands across India, Canada, USA, Europe, and the Middle East.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mohali, Punjab. As a Product Development Lab Intern, you will support the Product Development team in preparing formulation trials, maintaining laboratory operations, documenting experiments, and assisting in the development of innovative food and nutraceutical products. You will work under experienced Product Development Scientists and gain exposure to every stage of product development—from concept to commercial manufacturing.
Role Overview, Requirements, and Qualifications:
- In-person role, execution-heavy role in our Mohali factory. Mon-Sat, 9.30am - 6pm. (We are a startup and currently we all work on saturday's as well)
- We welcome students from Food Technology / Biotechnology / Food Science & Nutrition.
- Looking for enthusiastic and hungry person who wants to learn and assist in R&D.
- Assist in preparing formulation trials.
- Accurately weigh raw materials according to formulations.
- Prepare laboratory samples. Mix and process samples using laboratory equipment. Assist in prototype development.
- Support formulation scientists during product iterations.
- Lab operations, equipment handling, documentation, etc.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaboration, reporting, and documentation
Nice to Haves
- Prior Product Development experience in Nutraceuticals or Food & Beverage
- Thorough understanding of Food Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Processing, Engineering, QA, QC, Food Laws, and Preservation
