About the Role:-
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Product Designer to join our engineering team. The role involves designing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems while ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems as per project requirements
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
• Prepare detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation
• Stage wise inspection at production for design and implementation.
• Collaborate with production teams for design implementation and troubleshooting
• Review and optimize existing designs for cost, quality, and performance improvements
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation processes
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical inputs and feasibility
• Conduct site visits for measurement, inspection, and installation support
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical/product design (freshers with strong technical skills can be considered)
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA
• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
• Basic understanding of materials such as steel, aluminum, FRP, etc.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
Preferred Attributes:-
• Experience in product development lifecycle
• Exposure to prototype development and testing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
