About Keystone
Keystone is building a worker-first mobile app for India's gig and blue-collar workforce- starting with essential services like insurance, healthcare, vehicle support, government schemes, financial services, rewards, and worker benefits. We're on a mission to make these services simple, accessible, and truly usable for the people who need them most.
The role
We're looking for a Product Designer Intern who can bridge strategy and engineering. You'll take a broad product vision, understand real worker needs, define the first buildable product scope, and design simple mobile experiences that can be tested and shipped fast.
This is not a pure UI role. The work involves product discovery, user research, UX flows, prototyping, and practical design execution all with a founding team building from zero.
What you'll do
- Turn broad product ideas into clear user journeys, flows, and product requirements
- Conduct worker interviews, field research, and usability testing
- Define MVP scope with the founding team and identify what should be built now vs later
- Design mobile-first wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready screens
- Simplify complex services like insurance, loans, healthcare, government schemes, and vehicle documentation
- Work closely with engineering to make designs clear, buildable, and maintainable
- Create simple interaction patterns and a lightweight design system for the app
- Bring user evidence into product and strategy discussions
What we're looking for
- Strong product judgment, not just visual design skill
- Ability to work through ambiguity and simplify complex problems
- Experience designing mobile app flows and prototypes end-to-end
- Comfort talking directly to users and testing ideas quickly in the field
- Ability to translate strategy into engineering-ready product decisions
- Strong Figma skills- wireframes, components, prototyping, and dev handoff
- Clear communication and structured thinking
Good to have
- Experience with Indian consumer apps- fintech, healthtech, mobility, commerce, or benefits platforms
- Experience designing for multilingual, low-literacy, or next-billion users
- Exposure to gig workers, blue-collar workers, or India's informal workforce
