The role
We are looking for a hands-on Product Designer to shape how Avici works and feels across our consumer mobile app, web dashboards and other product surfaces.
Financial products are full of complexity, risk and unfamiliar language. Your job is to turn that complexity into experiences that feel clear, trustworthy and effortless without hiding important information from the customer.
You will work directly with the founders, product and engineering from problem definition through production QA.
Priorities move across products depending on the most important need of the week. You may improve a mobile onboarding flow, design a data-heavy web dashboard and then help clarify a new product concept. You must switch contexts quickly without lowering the quality of the work.
This is not a role where design ends at a Figma handoff. You will speak to customers, explore flows, prototype interactions, maintain the design system and stay close to the build until it ships correctly.
What you will own
• Design end-to-end mobile journeys across onboarding, funding, cards, payments, money movement and account management.
• Design clear web dashboards for customers and internal teams, including data-heavy workflows, tables, filters, states and responsive behaviour.
• Move between Avici products and weekly priorities while maintaining context, speed and quality.
• Turn complex financial, technical and compliance constraints into simple customer experiences.
• Own problems from research and early concepts through interaction design, visual polish and production QA.
• Build and maintain a coherent design system that helps the product move faster without becoming generic.
• Prototype important interactions and edge cases before engineering commits to a direction.
• Work closely with engineers to make sensible trade-offs while protecting the core customer experience.
• Speak to customers and use product behaviour, support issues and research to improve the product.
• Raise the quality bar for hierarchy, copy, states, motion, accessibility and trust across Avici.
What we are looking for
• At least 2 years of product design experience, with strong evidence of shipped mobile and web products.
• Excellent interaction and visual design craft.
• Experience designing data-heavy web dashboards, internal tools or operational workflows.
• Ability to simplify complicated flows without removing necessary context or control.
• Strong product judgment and comfort deciding what not to build.
• Experience working directly with engineers and following work through implementation and QA.
• Comfort juggling multiple products, changing weekly priorities and direct feedback in an early-stage environment.
• Clear communication and the ability to explain the reasoning behind a decision.
• High ownership. You notice weak details and fix them without waiting for a formal review.
Strong signals
• You have designed a fintech, payments, banking, wallet, crypto or other high-trust consumer product.
• You have shipped complex mobile flows involving identity, money, permissions, recovery or risk.
• You have designed dashboards or internal tools that people use regularly.
• You can show how research, support evidence or product data changed your design.
• You have created or materially improved a production design system.
• You prototype interactions and understand enough about implementation to collaborate closely with engineers.
• You use AI tools to explore, analyse or build faster while maintaining strong judgment and quality control.
What this role is not
• A role focused only on making high-fidelity screens.
• A role confined to one product, platform or fixed roadmap.
• A research-only or strategy-only position.
• A design-management role from day one.
• A role where responsibility ends after handoff.
