Product Designer (Deputy Manager) - A1
Overview
As a Product Designer, you will turn well-framed customer and business problems into simple, intuitive, and carefully crafted digital experiences. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, Content, and senior designers to take features from discovery through release and improvement.
You are expected to be hands-on, curious, precise, and increasingly independent. This is not a role limited to creating UI screens. You will understand the customer need, explore alternatives, validate assumptions, account for technical constraints, support implementation, and learn from product performance after launch.
What you will own
- The end-to-end design of a defined feature, flow, or customer journey for Airtel Consumer Application.
- Complete experience states including entry points, happy paths, errors, empty states, loading, permissions, recovery, and success.
- Clear design rationale, prototypes, specifications, and implementation support.
- Design quality within your assigned scope, from first concept to shipped product.
- Follow-up on agreed customer, experience, and product measures after release.
What you will do
Understand the customer and problem
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineers, Researchers, Data partners, and senior designers to understand the customer, context, business objective, and constraints.
- Ask clear questions about who the experience serves, what behaviour should change, and how success will be measured.
- Review customer feedback, support themes, analytics, competitive products, and existing Airtel patterns.
- Support user interviews, usability studies, surveys, and lightweight testing; translate observations into design improvements.
