This is an early-stage, high-ownership role based out of our Gurgaon office. We work in-office with a 6-day work week. Role is best suited for someone who has 1–2 years of product design experience and wants fast learning, founder exposure, ambiguity, ownership, and real product responsibility. About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Designer with 1–2 years of experience to help shape Aumraa’s mobile-first faith-tech product from the ground up. You’ll work directly with the founder on user journeys, UX flows, product logic, mobile UI, design systems, and live product improvements.
This role is best suited for an early-career product designer with strong UX fundamentals, good UI taste, ownership, speed, and a portfolio that shows how they solve problems.
Who We Are
Aumraa is building a mobile-first faith-tech product for modern Indian users — bringing together rituals, spiritual guidance, sacred commerce, and community into one seamless experience. We are reimagining how people engage with faith in everyday life by blending ancient wisdom with modern product thinking.
What You’ll Do
- Solve product problems, not just design screens: Work directly with the founder to turn ambiguous ideas into clear product flows, user journeys, and interaction patterns.
- Design core product journeys: Work across onboarding, discovery, search, booking, checkout, profile, dashboards, repeat use, and retention.
- Bring strong product thinking into design: Balance user needs, business goals, technical feasibility, and operational realities while identifying friction, confusion, and conversion gaps.
- Design with speed and clarity: Create mobile-first wireframes and high-fidelity UI screens in Figma with strong attention to hierarchy, usability, interaction, and visual consistency.
- Think through states, edge cases, and behaviour: Design empty states, loading states, error states, success states, validation moments, confirmations, nudges, and drop-off recovery experiences.
- Support design systems and handoff: Build reusable components, patterns, variants, and layouts. Prepare clear specs, annotations, and handoff documentation for engineering.
- Collaborate deeply with product and tech: Work closely with the founder and engineering team through ideation, refinement, handoff, QA, and iteration to ensure the shipped product matches the intended experience.
- Learn from users and improve live product: Participate in lightweight research, usability reviews, feedback discussions, product reviews, and iterations to continuously improve the experience.
What We’re Looking For
We care more about how you think, solve, and execute than just your number of years of experience.
You may be a strong fit if:
- Have 1–2 years of experience in product design, UI/UX design, or mobile app design
- Think in terms of flows, user behaviour, states, decisions, and outcomes — not just UI screens
- Simplify complex journeys without oversimplifying the product
- Know how to ask, “What is the real problem here?”
- Have a strong eye for structure, hierarchy, spacing, clarity, usability, and interaction
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and figuring things out
- Open to feedback, iteration, and product critique
Portfolio Expectations: Please apply with a portfolio that shows mobile-first product design work, preferably with user flows, wireframes, UI screens, product thinking, UX decisions and key states or edge cases. We care more about your thinking, clarity, and problem-solving than fancy presentation.
