Role Description As a Product Design Intern (Mechanical) at Yorag Technologies, you will support the end-to-end mechanical design process for new products in an on-site, full-time role based in Gurugram. You will assist in translating product requirements into 3D models and detailed drawings, participate in brainstorming sessions, and contribute to design reviews. Daily tasks will include supporting user and product research, preparing design documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing. You will help refine designs based on feedback, testing results, and DfX considerations to ensure products are practical, robust, and cost-effective.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Product Design and Design Thinking, with the ability to approach problems systematically and propose user-centered solutions.
- Experience or coursework in User Research and UX Research, including understanding user needs, pain points, and product usage contexts.
- Basic skills in Visual Design to communicate concepts clearly through sketches, diagrams, and presentations.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and manufacturability.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, collaborate in a team environment, and manage tasks with guidance from senior designers and engineers.
