Key Responsibilities (in order of priority)
1. Costing of Enquiries – RMC (Full Responsibility)
Calculate the raw material cost for both new and existing products, ensuring accuracy and alignment with costing policies.
2. Daily Work Order Profitability Register (Full Responsibility)
Perform daily computation and reporting of work order profitability based on the planned production orders.
3. Price Revision (Full Responsibility)
Conduct quarterly price revisions for applicable customers and grades, coordinating with relevant departments.
4. Costing P&L Accounts & COGS Reconciliation (Full Responsibility)
Reconcile costing profit with accounts profit and ensure product-wise total cost reconciliation with accounts COGS.
5. Physical Inventory Verification & Stock Valuation – FG & SFG (Partial Responsibility)
Participate in monthly and yearly physical inventory verification and compute the monthly/yearly stock valuation.
6. Landed Rate Working (Full Responsibility)
Prepare monthly landed cost calculations and submit timely reports.
7. Transfer Pricing – Inter-Company (Full Responsibility)
Determine and set transfer pricing for inter‑company finished goods transactions.
8. Sales Profitability Report (Full Responsibility)
Prepare and publish monthly sales profitability registers.
9. Machine Hour Rate Calculation (Full Responsibility)
Compute machine hour rates as per business requirements.
10. Process Improvement – SAP (Partial Responsibility)
Identify and suggest process improvement areas in SAP and verify material movement against SAP records.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands‑on experience in calculating labour, production, and service costs for various products.
- Ability to visualize and assess costing implications for new product development.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective coordination across departments and HODs.
- Knowledge of costing methods applicable to mass‑production environments.
- Proficiency in costing MIS preparation and reporting.
Detailed Job Responsibilities
- Determine raw material costs for different product categories.
- Compute total production costs across multiple processes/products.
- Determine labour costs for manufacturing and service operations.
- Provide strategic costing inputs to top management.
- Support top management in pricing strategy formulation.
- Maintain accurate and timely costing MIS as required by leadership.
