Role Objective
- Drive accurate and scalable product configuration by translating complex product variability into structured rules, enabling seamless engineering-to-sales alignment and error-free order execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage product configuration logic for complex engineered products
- Convert engineering requirements into configurable rules, constraints, and models
- Maintain and optimize BOM structures (Engineering & Sales BOMs)
- Support end-to-end configuration lifecycle from design → sales → manufacturing
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and IT teams to ensure configuration accuracy
- Handle engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and ensure system alignment
- Improve configuration efficiency, reduce errors, and support automation initiatives

Work Experience
Critical Skillset 1: Product Configuration (Primary)
- Strong experience in variant configuration & rule-based modeling
Hands-on with:
- Teamcenter Product Configurator (Context, Rules, Constraints)
- OR SAP Variant Configuration (VC) (Super BOM, Dependencies, Variant Tables)
Ability to define:
- Inclusion/Exclusion logic
- Configuration rules & constraints
- Product structures and dependencies
Critical Skillset 2: BOM & Engineering Change Management (Secondary)
Experience In
- Engineering BOM (EBOM) & Sales BOM (SBOM) management
- Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR) processes
- Understanding of manufacturing & assembly processes
- Basic exposure to SAP modules (MM / PP / SD) is an advantage
Preferred Domain
- Heavy engineering / manufacturing industries
- Mining / construction equipment / industrial machinery
