Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Product Carbon Footprint Expert. The role involves analyzing and calculating product carbon footprints, creating reports, and providing solutions to reduce environmental impacts. The expert will work closely with product specialists, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant sustainability standards and regulations. The role requires strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications
Perform Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculations for various products and processes
Conduct Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies following standard methodologies
Use tools such as GaBi or equivalent LCA software for modeling and analysis
Engage with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to explain data requirements for PCF
Train stakeholders (suppliers, factories, offices) on how to collect and provide accurate emissions data
Guide stakeholders in setting up data collection processes across operations
Pre-audit and validate submitted data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
Scrutinize and analyze collected data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement areas
Support preparation of reports aligned with global standards (e.g., ISO 14040/44, GHG Protocol, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects
