Job Description
Help shape a strategic onboarding and documentation platform that powers consistent, compliant client experiences at scale. Build reusable, configurable capabilities that reduce one-offs and accelerate cross-LOB delivery. Turn customer journeys, API contracts, and rule-driven design into governed, high-performing outcomes.
Job Summary
As a
Senior Associate within the
Client Onboarding & Documentation Platform Team, you drive platform evolution by bridging product vision, technical architecture, and delivery execution. You partner with Product, Design, Risk, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to deliver reusable capabilities across complex regulatory needs. You champion “build once, configure everywhere” design to enable speed, resilience, and enterprise adoption.
Job Responsibilities
- Define platform roadmap inputs using personas, value propositions, and measurable success metrics.
- Design reusable data services, workflow components, integrations, and UI enablers for multi-team adoption.
- Standardize API contracts and canonical data patterns to improve interoperability and reduce rework.
- Implement SOA/microservices with clear domain boundaries and event-driven communication patterns.
- Build rule-driven frameworks that externalize policy and decisions for rapid change without redeployments.
- Modernize legacy workflows into content-first, configuration-driven experiences that absorb cross-LOB nuances.
- Translate regulatory and business needs into epics, stories, acceptance criteria, and executable delivery plans.
- Apply CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and security-by-design to improve quality and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote experimentation, learning, and accountability across squads.
- Communicate technical trade-offs, risks, and options in business terms for forums and senior updates.
- Strengthen platform resilience via SRE practices, control readiness, telemetry, and cost-conscious scaling.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Demonstrate 6+ years of software engineering/product design experience with platform capability delivery.
- Apply a product mindset by defining user journeys, value, and success metrics for platform outcomes.
- Deliver reusable capabilities (APIs, frameworks, shared services) consumed by multiple teams.
- Design microservices/SOA and event-driven architectures with strong API discipline.
- Implement rule/decision approaches (policy-as-code, decision engines, or comparable tooling).
- Develop in Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python with CI/CD and container/cloud literacy.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders by translating ambiguity into aligned, scalable deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills (7 points)
- Bring financial services experience with awareness of regulatory and banking environments.
- Contribute to modernization programs (decomposition, cloud adoption, legacy decommissioning).
- Leverage workflow/case/BPM tooling experience (e.g., Camunda, Temporal, or similar).
- Support SRE operating practices (SLIs/SLOs, incidents, resilience testing, error budgets).
- Use analytics and telemetry to guide prioritization and platform health improvements.
- Navigate audit/control expectations (privacy, access controls, evidence capture, governance).
- Collaborate effectively across global, distributed teams and time zones.
