About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing company delivering AI-native SaaS solutions that help enterprises boost profitability through data insights and predictive analytics. Their platform, powered by over one million ML models, spans planning, forecasting, merchandising, pricing, and promotions across retail, grocery, manufacturing, and CPG, now expanding into Agentic AI for autonomous, real-time operations.
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This is a senior-level, individual contributor role focused on hands-on technical leadership in backend architecture, centred on three core areas:
- Drive complex backend architecture initiatives spanning multiple engineering and technology domains
- Lead strategic R&D to evaluate new backend technologies, frameworks, and methodologies, and champion their adoption company-wide
- Spearhead multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud backend strategies, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient architecture patterns
Required Skills
- 13 to18 years of software development experience, including 4+ years as an Architect or Staff Engineer, particularly in backend systems, is a must
- Proven experience building a product from the ground up, from concept and architecture through to launch is mandatory.
- Deep understanding on Python, Rust, C++, Java (at least two languages)
- Deep, hands-on expertise building and scaling enterprise SaaS with distributed architecture, plus strong knowledge of REST and event-driven architecture for low-latency, high-throughput in-memory systems
- Experience designing stateful backends at scale message brokers, distributed queues, caching with solid grounding in High Availability and Disaster Recovery for critical production systems
- Strong understanding of async, multi-threading, and multi-processing architectures to maximize concurrency
- Deep understanding of system design, database architecture (SQL & NoSQL), microservices, observability, resilience engineering, and secure coding practices
- Exposure to big data platforms, stream processing, ML infrastructure, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders
