Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Product and Project Manager. This role requires a unique blend of product strategy, project execution, and stakeholder management, focusing primarily on our web-based products. The ideal candidate has a passion for building user-centric solutions and a proven ability to drive projects from concept to launch.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management
- Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned web products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify opportunities and define product requirements.
- Write clear, concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements documents (PRDs).
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, engineering teams, and marketing to deliver intuitive and compelling product experiences.
- Define and track key product metrics (KPIs) and use data analysis to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional project teams through the entire development lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring, and closure) using agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Proactively identify, track, and manage project risks and dependencies, escalating issues as needed.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining high quality and adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Facilitate efficient communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and reports.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in product management, project management, or a combined role, specifically working on web products/applications.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into product requirements and execution plans.
- Experience with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) for reviewing designs, providing feedback, and understanding design principles.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering).
Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)
- Experience working with MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) or other EdTech products/platforms.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to drive product decisions.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a bonus.
- Experience in conducting A/B testing and defining experimentation roadmaps.
