Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end procurement of construction and interior materials.
- Float enquiries, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements (CS), and negotiate with vendors.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely approval and issuance.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Storekeepers, and Accounts to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
- Track deliveries and follow up with vendors to meet project schedules.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor and subcontractor database.
- Identify new suppliers and negotiate the best commercial terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor material costs and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Verify purchase invoices, delivery challans, and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) before processing payments.
- Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, and documentation.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and project budgets.
- Resolve supply chain issues and material shortages promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of procurement experience in the construction or interior fit-out industry.
- Good knowledge of construction materials such as cement, steel, bricks, blocks, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, finishing materials, doors, windows, hardware, and interiors.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP software or Tally is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.
