Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Procurement Team Lead based in Poonamallee. The Procurement Team Lead will manage and oversee purchasing activities, develop procurement strategies, analyze supplier performance, and ensure optimal sourcing of materials. Additional responsibilities include leading the procurement team, negotiating contracts, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement aligned with organizational goals. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet supply chain objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong Purchasing, Procurement, and Vendor Management skills
- Proficiency in Analytical Skills and Strategic Planning to optimize processes and achieve cost efficiency
- Proven Team Leadership abilities, including guiding and mentoring team members
- Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry is a plus
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools is an advantage
