Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor management, contract negotiation, RFQs, and purchase order processing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless procurement operations, supplier performance management, and timely fulfilment of manufacturing commitments while maintaining compliance and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Management
- Manage procurement of products and services in line with business requirements
- Handle RFQs, evaluate quotations, and finalize procurement decisions
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support operational and manufacturing commitments
- Contract Management & Negotiation
- Manage and maintain contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve cost-effective procurement
- Draft and review contract terms while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
- Monitor contract renewals, amendments, and vendor obligations
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Analyze and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics
- Resolve supplier-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement alignment with business needs
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records
- Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly procurement reports
- Track procurement activities, vendor performance, and purchasing trends
- Ensure all procurement data is updated and audit-ready
- Compliance & Process Coordination
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations
- Coordinate with internal departments for procurement planning and execution
- Support process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and operational effectiveness
- Work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations
- Proven experience with SAP is mandatory
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work according to EMEA time zone (12PM to 9PM)
- Willingness to travel to Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt and South Africa as required
