Role Description The Procurement Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders. The Procurement Professional will monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely availability of materials and products. Daily tasks include maintaining vendor relationships, reviewing contracts, analyzing procurement data to optimize cost and quality, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also involves preparing reports, updating procurement records, and contributing to continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and supplier negotiation.
- Proficiency in purchase order management, inventory tracking, and procurement documentation.
- Ability to analyze costs, compare quotations, and use data to support purchasing decisions.
- Familiarity with procurement or ERP software and basic spreadsheet tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., in procurement or supply chain) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations, preferably in a product-focused or retail environment.
