B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
OR
Diploma (Mechanical Engineering)
10+ Years in Procurement (Mechanical)
Preferred Industry Experience:
- Water Treatment & Distribution Projects
- Power Generation & Transmission
- Cement Manufacturing Plants
- Sugar Processing Facilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Costing and renegotiation through the settlement of costing norms
- Ensure timely order placement as per schedule on receipt of proper indent as per AVL List
- Ensure timely delivery of ordered material with proper protocol
- Choose the correct vendors, prepare a vendor database, and update it from time to time
- Support in supplier development and vendor upgradation
- Negotiate prices, terms & conditions of purchase, commercial conditions, and price and delivery schedules
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordination and resolution of issues/disputes with vendors, transporters, and ensure timely payment to them
- Ensure proper inspection and expedition of delivery
- Update records in SmartSheet software
- Coordination with third-party inspection agencies if required
- Ensure timely receipt of dispatch documents and process to accounts
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Interaction with other departments: Project, Engineering, Commercial & Contracts, Finance, etc.
- Preparation and updating of Procurement Progress Reports
