Role Description The Procurement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Bangalore Urban district. This position is responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing raw materials, packaging, and services required for gherkin processing and export operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying suppliers, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules. The role involves monitoring market trends and costs, maintaining procurement records, coordinating closely with production, quality, and logistics teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The Procurement Manager will also optimize procurement processes to improve cost efficiency, quality, and supply reliability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong procurement and purchasing skills, with experience managing end-to-end sourcing processes.
- Candidates should possess supplier evaluation and supplier relationship management skills to assess quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Candidates should possess contract negotiation and contract management skills to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills for cost analysis, demand forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Relevant experience in food processing, FMCG, or manufacturing procurement is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work on-site in Bangalore Urban district and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
