Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Procurement Manager based in Mumbai. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, vendor relationship management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing. The role includes managing supply chain operations, evaluating suppliers, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and analyzing market trends to make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Procurement Management, including strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and vendor negotiations
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control processes
- Proficiency in data analysis, report generation, and procurement software tools
- Understanding of compliance regulations and contract management related to procurement processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Experience in heavy industries, shipbuilding, or defense-related sectors is advantageous
