MetalKarma Engineering Technology Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing engineering organization specializing in the design, manufacturing, supply, and erection of steel space structures for industrial, commercial, and large-span infrastructure projects.
With expanding domestic and international operations, we are strengthening our procurement team to ensure efficient sourcing, cost optimization, and strong vendor partnerships.
About the Role
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing materials and services, developing vendor networks, and ensuring timely availability of resources for steel structure and infrastructure projects across domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and business requirements
• Source and procure raw materials (steel, components), subcontracting services, and project-related supplies
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency
• Manage the complete procurement cycle from RFQ to purchase order and delivery follow-up
• Coordinate with design, project, and execution teams to understand material requirements and timelines
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability
• Track market trends, material price fluctuations, and supplier performance
• Ensure quality standards, compliance, and timely delivery of materials
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and logistics partners
• Handle import procurement and international vendor coordination (if applicable)
• Support cost control initiatives and contribute to overall project profitability
Experience & Skills Required
• Engineering Graduate / MBA in Supply Chain / Operations preferred
• 7–10 years of experience in procurement or purchase for steel structures / PEB / industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication components, and project procurement
• Proven experience in vendor development and contract negotiation
• Familiarity with technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs
• Experience in handling large-scale project procurement
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills
• Good communication and coordination abilities
