We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Procurement Manager will lead our purchasing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and negotiating contracts to ensure we receive the best value, quality, and delivery times. You will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain, reducing costs, and mitigating supply risks while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.
Role Description The Procurement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvalla, Kerala responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement activities. This role includes identifying and qualifying suppliers, managing requests for proposals, and evaluating supplier performance to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliability. The Procurement Manager will negotiate contracts, monitor contract compliance, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs. Day-to-day tasks involve analyzing purchase data, optimizing inventory levels, managing vendor relationships, and implementing process improvements to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s financial and operational objectives. Identify and evaluate potential global and domestic suppliers.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for pricing, terms and conditions, and delivery schedules. Draft, review, and manage vendor contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Cost Optimization: Continuously analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain bottlenecks to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions. Develop robust contingency plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely to forecast demand, ensure alignment on purchasing needs, and streamline the procure-to-pay process.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, supplier defect rates, and procurement cycle times. Prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
- Analytical Abilities: Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data, evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO), and make data-driven decisions.
Preferred:
- Industry Experience: Previous experience working within the FMCG - Brand, Supplier or Retailer.
