Position: Procurement Intern
Department: Procurement
Location: Bangalore
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to support our procurement and supply chain operations. The intern will assist the team with vendor management, purchase order processing, data analysis, and day-to-day procurement activities. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate procurement and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for various categories.
· Support the team in obtaining and comparing quotations.
· Create and update purchase orders in the procurement system.
· Maintain accurate documentation related to contracts, pricing, and supplier communication.
· Track order status and follow up with vendors for timely deliveries.
· Support vendor onboarding and compliance checks.
· Conduct basic market research to help identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and timelines.
· Assist in preparing procurement reports, spend summaries, and dashboards.
· Perform any additional tasks as required by the procurement team.
Requirements
· Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data handling.
· Good communication and coordination abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Eagerness to learn procurement processes and systems.
Preferred Skills (Optional but Advantageous)
· Basic understanding of supply chain or procurement concepts.
· Familiarity with ERP tools (SAP/Oracle/Zoho or similar).
· Good negotiation or vendor interaction skills.
