Role Description The Procurement Intern is a full-time, on-site role based in Kannur & Thalassery. This position supports the procurement team in managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of supplies and equipment. The intern assists in evaluating suppliers, gathering quotations, and supporting contract discussions to ensure quality and cost-effective sourcing. Daily tasks include data entry, basic market research, coordination with internal departments to understand requirements, and follow-up with suppliers for timely fulfillment. The role provides hands-on exposure to procurement processes in a clinical diagnostic environment and requires close collaboration with administrative and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in procurement planning and purchase order management.
- Create, compile, and organize data from existing procurement and inventory records to develop meaningful and structured datasets for analysis and reporting.
- Maintain and update procurement-related databases, vendor information, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and consumables.
- Assist in stock tracking, inventory reconciliation, and branch-wise procurement monitoring.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and procurement-related documentation using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements through effective data organization and analysis.
Eligibility:
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets are desirable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
