Role Description
Fostride is looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Summer Intern to support sourcing, vendor coordination, procurement operations, and supply chain management activities.
This is a 3-month summer internship opportunity for students who want hands-on startup experience while working closely with the founding team in a fast-paced climate-tech environment.
The intern will assist in managing procurement processes for hardware components, operational materials, logistics coordination, and inventory tracking required for R3Bin deployments and ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers for hardware and operational requirements
- Coordinate with vendors for quotations, negotiations, and delivery timelines
- Assist in procurement planning and purchase management
- Maintain inventory and supply tracking systems
- Support logistics and operational coordination for deployments
- Conduct market research for cost optimization and sourcing efficiency
- Build and maintain vendor databases and procurement documentation
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams for procurement requirements
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related fields
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Good organizational and analytical abilities
- Familiarity with MS Excel/Google Sheets and basic documentation tools
- Ability to work in a startup environment and manage multiple tasks
- Interest in sustainability, climate-tech, or operations-driven startups is preferred
Preferred Skills
- Vendor management and negotiation skills
- Basic understanding of procurement workflows
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Self-driven and proactive approach toward work
