๐งพ Role Summary
The Procurement Head will be responsible for leading the overall procurement strategy, vendor management, sourcing operations, and supply planning for the FMCG business. The role involves ensuring cost optimization, quality compliance, timely procurement, and strategic supplier partnerships to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
๐ Key Responsibilities
๐ฆ Strategic Procurement Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities for FMCG products and raw materials
- Ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations and inventory availability
๐ค Vendor & Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors
- Build long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers
- Conduct vendor negotiations for pricing, contracts, and service agreements
๐ฐ Cost Optimization & Budget Control
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality
- Monitor procurement budgets and expenditure
- Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations for strategic purchasing decisions
๐ Inventory & Supply Planning
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams for demand forecasting
- Ensure optimum inventory levels and minimize stock shortages or overstocking
- Monitor procurement KPIs and MIS reporting

Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory regulations
- Maintain quality standards and procurement documentation
- Manage audits and supplier compliance processes

- Lead and mentor the procurement team
- Assign targets and monitor team performance
- Foster collaboration across departments for efficient operations
๐ Qualification & Experience
- Bachelorโs/Masterโs Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
- 8โ15 years of experience in procurement within FMCG industry
- Strong understanding of sourcing, vendor development, inventory management, and supply chain operations
- Experience in handling large-scale procurement operations preferred
