Working closely with nutritionists and food experts, Open Secret offers a thoughtfully curated range of local and Un-Junked brands and products which are available across various channels.
About the CEO and Co-Founder :
Ahana Gautam is an experienced operator with a passion to build and grow the biggest consumer brands in India. She has a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She started her career at P&G where she worked across multiple functions - supply chain, finance and marketing. Ahana grew her passion for food brands at General Mills in the US where she launched natural and organic products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Source and evaluate vendors/suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities including purchase orders, follow-ups, and deliveries.
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand requirements and plan procurement accordingly.
- Maintain supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and timely supply.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery.
- Track market trends and pricing to support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports.
Required Experience & Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in procurement roles.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/ERP systems is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in FMCG / food / commodities procurement is a plus.
