About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive with hands-on experience in the civil and construction industry to join our team in Ernakulam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the timely procurement of construction materials, services, and equipment — ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and uninterrupted project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure construction materials, civil supplies, and site equipment in line with project requirements and timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, and build long-term relationships with reliable vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the best value.
- Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely supply to project sites.
- Coordinate closely with site engineers, project managers, and the accounts team to forecast material needs and avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and inventory reports.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product availability in the construction sector.
- Ensure all purchases comply with company standards, quality benchmarks, and budget guidelines.
- Resolve supply discrepancies, delivery issues, and vendor disputes promptly and professionally.
Required Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of proven procurement experience in the civil or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, market rates, and vendor networks in Kerala.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and procurement/ERP software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and a problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience working with architecture or turnkey construction firms.
- Familiarity with project-based procurement workflows.
- Working knowledge of Malayalam, English, and Hindi.
