Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our procurement process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Role:
1. Sourcing and Vendor Management:
- Identify potential suppliers, establish strong vendor relationships and standardize a list of vendors for small-quantity purchases.
- Conduct negotiations & evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for new products with higher availability & affordability in market for continuous improvement with favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Provide Bill of Materials item suggestions to project planning team for easier Product Development and quicker procurement cycles.
2. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
- Oversee cycle counting, annual physical audits, and prepare Reorder Lists for management.
- Inbound Logistics: Coordinate dock scheduling, customs clearance, and prompt unloading of supplier shipments.
- Discuss reports on delays in procurement activities and present findings to management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, B.Com, BBA, BBM, Inventory Management or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms like Indiamart, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail, quick to learn standard technical requirements frequently seen in Bill of Materials.
- Ability to learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of RFQ (Request for Quotation) and ethical standards in P2P.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
