Job Description: Procurement Engineer
Location: NRS Bridge Construction India Pvt. Ltd., Wasuli, Chakan MIDC Phase-II, Pune
Experience: 2 to 5 years
Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Position Overview:
NRS Bridge Construction India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Procurement Engineer to support the Procurement Head in day-to-day purchase activities, vendor coordination, material follow-up, and timely procurement support for ongoing projects. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with internal departments and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Procurement Head in daily procurement operations.
- Raise enquiries, collect quotations, compare offers, and support purchase decisions.
- Follow up with vendors for material availability, delivery timelines, and order status.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Design, QC, and Accounts teams for procurement requirements.
- Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pending material follow-ups.
- Support in maintaining procurement records, vendor database, and related documentation.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project and site requirements.
- Assist in resolving issues related to material delays, shortages, or vendor concerns.
- Support in price negotiation and basic vendor management activities.
- Maintain proper tracking of inward materials, pending orders, and procurement status reports.
Desired Profile:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchase, or vendor coordination.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Basic understanding of industrial materials, fabrication-related procurement, and vendor handling.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and email communication.
- Ability to work in a structured and fast-paced project environment.
