Role Description The Procurement Engineer will manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, components, and services to support engineering and production operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQ), negotiating pricing and terms, and creating and tracking purchase orders. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement decisions with technical requirements, quality standards, and budget constraints. The Procurement Engineer will also analyze supplier performance, monitor delivery schedules, and maintain accurate procurement documentation and reports. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ludhiana.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement execution skills, including experience with supplier evaluation and managing purchase orders.
- Ability to prepare, issue, and analyze requests for quotation (RFQ), with attention to technical and commercial details.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for cost comparison, vendor performance assessment, and data-driven decision-making.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and negotiating with suppliers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, basic contract terms, and supplier relationship management.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement software and proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work on-site in Ludhiana as well as ability travel, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in documentation.
