About the Role:
We are looking for a Procurement Engineer Specialist with a strong background in Electrical and Civil engineering to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in procurement for data center or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects and be capable of managing vendor relationships, sourcing, and project-based purchasing under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for electrical and civil materials related to data center/MEP projects
- Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers
- Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and negotiate pricing and contracts
- Ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules
- Coordinate with engineering, project, and site teams for material requirements
- Maintain procurement records, documentation, and compliance standards
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply-related issues
- Ensure cost optimization without compromising quality and specifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering
- 2–3 years of relevant procurement experience in data center or MEP projects
- Strong understanding of electrical and civil materials, specifications, and standards
- Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
- Familiarity with procurement software/ERP systems is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in data center infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of local supplier markets in and around Hyderabad
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
