Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership for organizational unit (OU) innovation projects. Serve as a pivotal resource in driving and achieving results in response to challenges. Collaborate with the innovation team, exploring new platforms, machine control systems, data processing techniques, and analytics. Mentor and develop capabilities in team members. Formulate and plan analytical projects based on business needs. Utilize data science tools to address complex process challenges within the region. Develop novel analytical, predictive, and prescriptive modeling techniques and tools as required. Propose prescriptive analytic models to establish robust and fault-tolerant process control strategies that minimize operational effort and enhance product quality. Collaborate with process/equipment specialists and application developers to identify pertinent data for analysis. Contribute, in conjunction with process/equipment owners and ITOT (Information Technology/Operational Technology), to the development and evolution of data models that enhance analytical capabilities. Manage the data model, its maintenance, and its development for the hub-site. Establish and maintain essential data pipelines across designated sites globally. Assist in defining work processes to implement and maintain predictive/analytical modeling architectures, modeling standards, alarming and reporting systems, and data analysis methodologies. Conduct external-focused research to generate recommendations on analytical modeling products, services, protocols, and standards that can facilitate and accelerate the smart manufacturing journey. Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues pertaining to prognostic model performance. Leverage Reliability Engineering principles with data science to create innovative solutions that mitigate losses. Qualifications: Possess sufficient business acumen to discern relevant data, identify pertinent findings, and effectively leverage data for informed decision-making. Demonstrate strong familiarity with data preparation and processing methodologies. Exhibit robust analytical, statistical, and mathematical modeling skills to formulate hypotheses, collect, explore, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data, transforming raw data into actionable information that improves process/equipment operation and maintenance. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing software for data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning, including but not limited to Python, R, SAS, Azure ML, Matlab, PowerBI, and Tableau. Possess familiarity with functional programming and scripting languages, such as .NET, VB, C++, and Python. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of data architecture concepts, including relational database structures, data warehouses, big data management, and data queries. Demonstrate technical comprehension of mechatronic systems and fundamental principles encompassing process, mechanical, electrical, control, and systems engineering. Possess experience in advanced analytics, big data, and machine learning methodologies. Demonstrate experience in designing visualizations that improve user experience and promote effective decision-making. Exhibit an innovative approach, demonstrating the ability to assess business operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive case development. Possess experience in data engineering utilizing Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, and Knime. Demonstrate experience working within Agile project frameworks (SCRUM, Kanban) and operating in DevOps and CI/CD environments. Maintain awareness of modern IT security risks and principles. Proven ability to manage concurrent priorities, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships across functions. Exhibit a collaborative attitude with clear technical communication skills to effectively explain data models and analytical solutions to both technical peers and leadership teams.
