Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Process Research Scientist with 10–14 years of relevant experience. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing scalable, robust, and cost-effective processes for pharmaceutical products, from lab-scale through pilot and commercial manufacturing. The Process Research Scientist will oversee experimental planning, data analysis, and documentation to support regulatory submissions and technology transfer to manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams in R&D, QA/QC, production, Supply chain and regulatory affairs to resolve technical challenges, improve yields, and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards. The role also includes mentoring junior scientists, maintaining laboratory safety and Good Laboratory Practices, and staying current with advances in process chemistry, engineering, and automation technologies.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.Sc, Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Organic Chemistry with 10–14 years of process research or development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong expertise in process development, scale-up, and optimization, including experience with lab, pilot, and commercial-scale operations.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques and data interpretation to support process characterization, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and global regulatory requirements relevant to process development and technology transfer.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, QA/QC, and regulatory, and leading technical projects to completion.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for scientific documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Ability to independently plan experiments, manage multiple projects, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced environment.
