Job details:
The candidate for this position will be responsible for monitoring the operations of our systems, including quality and compliance. The candidate should also be able to recommend improvements to the process through the tracking of metrics and reporting of data. The candidate should definitely have strong technical abilities in order to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Process Monitoring & Control:
- Monitor key process parameters (temperature, torque, pressure, cycle time, etc.) and ensure adherence to defined standards.
- Take immediate action to correct deviations or abnormalities in production processes.
- Support shift production team in achieving quality and productivity targets.
2. Technical Support & Issue Resolution:
- Act as the first point of contact for process-related issues during the shift.
- Troubleshoot process problems (e.g., defects, downtime, quality rejections) and implement corrective actions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Engineering Manager or Maintenance Team as required.
3. CSR & Quality Compliance:
- Ensure all Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR) related to process parameters, traceability, quality checks, and documentation are followed during the shift.
- Ensure adherence to Control Plans, PFMEA, PFL, SOPs, work instructions, and visual standards.
- Maintain process logs and shift-wise quality documentation for audits and traceability.
- Validate & product change request compliance as per CSR & continuous improvement.
4. Change Management & Process Validation:
- Implement validated process changes during the shift as per approved Engineering Change Notes (ECN).
- Ensure proper setup and first-off inspection (FOI) before starting production.
- Verify that all gauges, fixtures, and tools used are validated and meet customer requirements.
5. Support for APQP, PPAP and New Product Introduction:
- Support trial runs and pre-launch activities during the shift.
- Collect data and provide feedback during prototype or pilot runs.
- Ensure shift team follows special controls and requirements for new product launches.
6. Shift Reporting & Handover:
- Document all activities, deviations, breakdowns, quality issues, and actions taken.
- Conduct a proper handover to the next shift to ensure continuity and zero gaps in communication.
- Line handover for MP run.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years in process engineering in the related field.
- Knowledge of Process Engineering, Systems & Reporting, Process Monitoring & Validation is preferred
- Should be a Problem Solver.
