Job Description
The Process & Automation Engineer will be responsible for the integrated design, engineering, automation, and commissioning support of biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The role requires expertise in process engineering combined with industrial automation, ensuring compliance with cGMP, US FDA, EU GMP Annex 1, ISPE Baseline Guides, GAMP 5, ISA standards, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. The engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Process, Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Instrumentation, CQV, Validation, and IT to deliver complete engineering solutions from concept design through commissioning and qualification.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Master’s degree in Process Control, Automation, or Bioprocess Engineering is preferred.
Experience
- Process & Automation Engineer: 3–8 years
- Senior Process & Automation Engineer: 8–15 years
- Experience in biopharmaceutical, vaccine, biotechnology, sterile injectable, cell and gene therapy, or fermentation facilities.
- Experience in engineering consultancy or EPC projects is preferred.
