We are seeking a skilled and proactive Trainer to educate customers and internal teams on our enterprise software solutions. This role involves delivering engaging training in various formats—including live sessions, webinars, and virtual classrooms—while also helping to maintain and improve training materials and processes. The ideal candidate is self-directed, highly organized, and communicates effectively with stakeholders to ensure training success. A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering excellent service are essential. This position is primarily focused on Training Services (90%).

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Independently train and provide live support where skills exist for most dealership roles and personas as well as Procede employees on relevant Procede products and integrated applications
  • Perform administrative follow-up tasks and activities using tools and established processes, while adhering to deadlines and best practices
  • Continually build and foster customer relationships and engage with customers demonstrating a supportive dialogue with customers
  • Collaborate with the Training team to continually establish and support best practices, foster team growth, and deliver outstanding training services
  • Support other Education & Training functions and collaborate on recommendations for instructional best practices, aligning programs and resources for both internal and external consumption
  • Using creativity, experiential evidence, and conscientious evaluation, make updates to existing curriculum/documentation and produce videos/documentation on specific topics with guidance based upon skill level, followed by curriculum team or management review
  • Assist new and existing employees with professional development as a team mentor where skills exist - leading onboarding sessions, advancing skills, and performing observation feedback sessions
  • Develop personal skills and increase knowledge on all company, product and industry requirements as it relates to providing training/consulting services to internal/external customers
  • Supports company’s continuous improvement initiatives by submitting Product Enhancements requests, bugs, and documentation updates (Help Files, Release Notes, etc.)

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Possesses industry, product and technical knowledge required to facilitate: Baseline End User & Manager Level classes
  • Familiarity with processes for reviewing and assisting L&D or Tech Pubs with documentation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software utilized to support role including troubleshooting techniques (LMS, project management, virtual lab, chat/meeting tool(s), etc.)
  • Has professional poise and comfort leading discussions with client decision makers and end users
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, patience and flexibility
  • Engaging presenter, with ability to motivate learners
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information to technical resources and non-technical users/customers
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise within the training environment
  • Affinity for technology to keep personal IT skills and knowledge up to date
  • Highly motivated with ability to learn quickly and possess an aptitude and desire to continually develop skills and take initiative to seek knowledge utilizing all available resources.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on sound judgment but have an understanding to know when to escalate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and meet deadlines within stringent time constraints
  • Up to date on industry trends, best practices, and ideas to offer innovative solutions for improved adult learning, and disseminate to teammates

Requirements

  • 1+ year of formal software training experience
  • Experience working with transportation/dealership/supply chain/accounting industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field, relevant work experience may be substituted
  • Experience delivering software training to both technical and non-technical users is strongly preferred but not required
  • Available for the potential of 10-30% travel depending on the volume of projects requiring onsite resources, possibly to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain a passport for international travel, as requested

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time depending on your position and/or getting up and down through your work shift
  • Ability to use hands and fingers or adoptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs or the weight of your baggage when travelling
  • Ability to frequently lead discussions for a long period of time, and to hear and speak clearly by telephone and face-to-face
  • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed/up to 30% of the time. Travel requirements may include driving for periods of time, flying to customer sites and consecutive overnight stays.

Location and Compensation

This is a hybrid-remote role; candidates based in San Diego county are expected to work a minimum of one day per week in the office, those residing outside of San Diego county will be considered fully remote. The salary range for this role is $68,700 - $84,000 per year, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, our company encourages and supports career development.
