Role Description The Private Investor role at BioResire is a full-time, on-site position based in India, focused on supporting and scaling the organization’s bioscience education and research initiatives. This role involves evaluating investment opportunities within BioResire’s programs and partnerships, reviewing financial projections, and assessing the impact of proposed initiatives on long-term growth and sustainability. The Private Investor will collaborate closely with leadership to shape funding strategies, participate in strategic planning discussions, and provide input on capital allocation for new and existing projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance, analyzing risks and returns, and maintaining transparent communication with internal stakeholders regarding investment decisions and outcomes. The role may also involve engaging with external partners, attending relevant industry events, and staying informed about trends in biosciences, education technology, and healthcare innovation to inform investment choices.
Qualifications
- Strong financial analysis and investment evaluation skills, including experience with forecasting, risk assessment, and portfolio management.
- Background in finance, business, economics, or a related field; exposure to life sciences, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Demonstrated interest in education, research, or talent development, with a commitment to supporting learner-centric and impact-driven initiatives.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with high ethical standards and sound judgment in handling investments.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) or relevant professional certifications in finance or investment are an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in India, with willingness to engage in meetings, program reviews, and occasional travel for partner or stakeholder interactions.
