About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data discovery, data mapping, and data flow assessments across business functions.
- Perform privacy risk assessments, gap assessments, and privacy impact assessments (PIAs/DPIAs).
- Support the implementation of privacy programs aligned with applicable regulations, including:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA)
- Other global privacy regulations and frameworks
- Develop and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), privacy documentation, and compliance artifacts.
- Work closely with business, technology, legal, risk, and compliance teams to implement privacy controls and remediation plans.
- Participate in privacy compliance reviews, audits, and regulatory readiness assessments.
- Manage project timelines, stakeholder communication, deliverables, and reporting to ensure successful project execution.
- Stay updated on evolving global privacy regulations and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Privacy Consulting or Data Privacy.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Data Discovery
- Data Mapping
- Privacy Risk Assessments
- Privacy implementation projects
- Good understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR, DPDPA, and other international privacy laws.
- Experience in project management, including planning, stakeholder management, and delivery coordination.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the BFSI domain.
- Prior experience working with banks on privacy compliance or implementation projects is highly preferred.
- Exposure to privacy governance frameworks and privacy management tools will be an added advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPM, CIPT, ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer, or similar are desirable.
Location & Travel
- Candidate must be based in Bangalore or willing to relocate.
- Flexibility to travel based on project requirements is preferred
