Job Title: Print Specialist
Job Summary
The Print Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise printing environments across multiple hardware platforms, print technologies, and software solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise in print systems, barcode standards, print quality analysis, and integration with IT infrastructure while ensuring support requests are resolved within defined service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise print infrastructure and print solutions
- Troubleshoot print quality issues and barcode readability problems
- Install, configure, and maintain printer drivers and software
- Diagnosing printer hardware, firmware, and connectivity issues
- Manage printer operating modes:
- Peel-off mode
- Cutter mode
- Applicator mode
- Support multiple printing technologies:
- Thermal printing
- Thermal inkjet printing
- Digital printing
- Configure and support label design applications:
- BarTender
- NiceLabel
- CodeSoft
- Knowledge of printer brands including:
- Zebra Technologies
- Intermec
- Honeywell
- Toshiba
- Bell-Mark
- Ensure barcode compliance with GS1 standards
- Analyze print media, labels, ribbons, and stock materials
- Handle incident management through ticketing systems
- Ensure support tickets are updated and resolved within defined SLA timelines
- Meet response and resolution targets for assigned service tickets
- Coordinate with internal IT and business teams for issue resolution
- Support cloud printing and remote print management solutions
Must Have Skills
- Strong knowledge of enterprise print solutions
- Good understanding of barcode parameters and barcode grading
- Strong troubleshooting skills for print quality issues
- Knowledge of printer driver installation and configuration
- Knowledge of printer communication protocols
- Good understanding of networking and IT configuration
- Experience with:
- Thermal printers
- Inkjet printers
- Digital printers
- Knowledge of label stock and print materials
- Understanding of SQL basics
- Familiarity with cloud print solutions
Software Knowledge
- Working experience in:
- BarTender
- NiceLabel
- CodeSoft
- Teklynx
Operational Skills
- Experience using IT ticketing tools
- Ability to manage incidents in ticketing systems
- Ability to resolve tickets within SLA timelines
- Ability to prioritize critical support issues
- Strong root cause analysis capability
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills with users and technical teams

- Knowledge of:
