Principal SaaS Architect and Engineering Lead
(.NET Core / Azure)
Location: Surat Gujarat
Experience: 15+ years in software engineering, including SaaS architecture and engineering leadership
Working hours: Full shift aligned with U.S. Pacific Time business hours. This is an ongoing, non-negotiable requirement.
The opportunity
We are seeking a senior, hands-on technology professional with proven experience designing, building, and operating enterprise SaaS products. You will work closely with technology leadership, contribute independent architectural judgment, and strengthen engineering capabilities across the organization.
The role has two primary responsibilities: working alongside the existing treasury SaaS product leader to support the product’s technical management and day-to-day operations, and guiding the architecture and engineering of our future SaaS products.
Key responsibilities
SaaS architecture and future product engineering
· Translate business requirements into architecture options, technical roadmaps, implementation phases, and engineering estimates for future SaaS products.
· Design and review tenancy models, tenant isolation, identity and access, onboarding, integrations, data architecture, and product extensibility.
· Evaluate trade-offs across scalability, availability, disaster recovery, security, maintainability, and Azure operating costs. Document decisions and guide implementation.
Hands on delivery and production ownership
· Develop enhancements, review code, investigate complex application and SQL issues, and troubleshoot Azure services and integrations.
· Own assigned production incidents during the agreed shift: assess impact, identify defects or operational issues, communicate progress, and coordinate resolution.
· Take fixes through internal testing, UAT coordination, approved production release, and post-release verification; improve monitoring, runbooks, and root-cause prevention.
Engineering leadership and security
· Guide onsite and India-based engineers through sprint planning, technical discussions, estimation, design reviews, and delivery reviews.
· Mentor engineers and strengthen code quality, testing, secure development, CI/CD, documentation, and troubleshooting practices across teams.
· Support VAPT assessments and SOC audits by providing technical evidence, addressing findings, and coordinating remediation, validation, and retesting as applicable.
· Review application and Azure security posture. Identify potential attack paths and weaknesses in access controls, exposed services, and configurations, working with security teams to prioritize and reduce risk.
· Communicate clearly with client stakeholders and technology leadership about technical options, operational issues, risks, and delivery commitments.
Essential experience and capabilities
· 15+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including strong recent hands-on development and technical leadership.
· Demonstrated responsibility for designing and delivering SaaS products, with experience operating and evolving them in production.
· Strong C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core, SQL, and REST API development, debugging, code review, and performance optimization skills.
· Practical Azure application architecture experience, including App Service, Azure SQL, Functions, Key Vault, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
· Sound understanding of SaaS tenancy models, data isolation, authentication, authorization, secure configuration, and integration design.
· Experience with source control, Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling, CI/CD, testing, controlled releases, and production incident management.
· Ability to learn an established codebase, explain architectural trade-offs, independently recommend improvements, and mentor distributed teams.
· Strong client communication and a willingness to combine architecture leadership with hands-on development and ongoing production support.
Desirable experience
· Blazor WebAssembly or Server; Azure Logic Apps, Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric.
· Treasury, banking, fintech, or financial SaaS applications; VAPT remediation and technical support for SOC audits.
Working expectations
This role includes regular production support alongside architecture, development, and mentoring. The full U.S. Pacific Time shift is essential.
