About the RoleWe are looking for a Principal Quality Engineering Architect to lead the next generation of AI-powered Quality Engineering. This is a highly hands-on leadership role for someone who has built large-scale automation frameworks, led QA transformation initiatives, and is passionate about using Generative AI and Agentic AI to modernize software testing.
You will architect an AI-first quality engineering ecosystem where automation is generated, maintained, and optimized using AI. You will work closely with engineering, product, and platform teams to ensure every release meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

What You'll DoLead Quality Engineering Transformation- Own the end-to-end Quality Engineering strategy across multiple products.
- Assess the current automation landscape and identify gaps across Unit, API, Integration, UI, Performance, Regression, and End-to-End testing.
- Design and implement a scalable automation architecture using modern testing frameworks.
- Establish engineering standards, quality metrics, and best practices across the organization.
- Drive Shift-Left testing and Quality Engineering practices throughout the SDLC.
Build AI-Powered Testing Solutions- Leverage AI and Agentic AI to generate automation scripts from product requirements and user stories.
- Build AI-assisted workflows for automated test case generation, maintenance, and optimization.
- Implement self-healing automation capable of adapting to UI and application changes.
- Develop AI-driven synthetic test data generation and intelligent edge-case discovery.
- Accelerate automation development using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
Design Modern Automation Frameworks- Architect scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred), Cypress, or Selenium.
- Drive automation across:
- Web Applications
- APIs
- Microservices
- Mobile Applications (where applicable)
- End-to-End Business Workflows
- Build reusable automation libraries that improve maintainability and execution speed.
- Ensure automation is integrated into CI/CD pipelines with fast feedback loops.
Validate AI-Generated Software- Design quality guardrails for AI-generated code and autonomous software agents.
- Build regression strategies to detect logic errors, unexpected behavior, and AI hallucinations.
- Implement characterization testing to protect critical business functionality during AI-assisted development.
- Create validation frameworks for LLM-powered applications, prompts, and AI workflows.
- Ensure AI-generated code meets functional, security, and performance standards before release.
CI/CD & Engineering Excellence- Integrate automation into modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement quality gates for every deployment.
- Improve release confidence through continuous testing.
- Establish automation dashboards, reporting, and quality metrics.
- Partner closely with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Platform teams to improve delivery velocity without compromising quality.
Leadership & Mentoring- Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers, SDETs, and Automation Engineers.
- Drive hiring, coaching, and technical growth within the Quality Engineering organization.
- Establish coding standards, framework guidelines, and automation best practices.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & ExperienceExperience- 12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, SDET, QA Automation, or Test Architecture.
- Proven experience leading automation transformation initiatives.
- Strong experience mentoring and leading QA engineering teams.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
Automation Expertise- Expert in Playwright (preferred), Cypress, or Selenium.
- Strong experience with API Automation using Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools.
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Deep understanding of UI, API, Integration, End-to-End, and Regression testing.
- Experience testing distributed systems and Microservices.
ProgrammingStrong hands-on experience in one or more of:
- Java
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Python
AI & Modern EngineeringHands-on experience using AI tools for software development or testing, such as:
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Cursor

Experience with AI-assisted test generation, prompt validation, AI workflow testing, or autonomous testing solutions will be highly valued.
