Role Overview

Boharr Global IFSC will operate as a TechFin infrastructure provider under the IFSCA (TechFin and Ancillary Services) Regulations, 2025. The platform will enable regulated financial institutions to onboard customers and execute transactions through a unified infrastructure.


The Principal Officer is responsible for oversight at the platform level and serves as the primary liaison between Boharr and regulatory authorities. The role ensures that Boharr’s systems, workflows, and integrations operate within a compliant and controlled framework.


Job Description

A. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

·       Act as the Principal Officer in accordance with IFSCA requirements

·       Serve as the primary point of contact with IFSCA, FIU-IND, and other authorities

·       Represent Boharr in regulatory meetings, inspections, and discussions

·       Oversee regulatory responses, submissions, and audit readiness

·       Ensure clear documentation of Boharr’s role as a TechFin and responsibility segregation

B. AML/CFT Framework (Platform Level)

·       Work with the central team to establish and maintain a platform-level compliant risk framework

·       Identify risks arising from APIs, workflows, integrations, and system design

·       Ensure the platform enforces structured onboarding flows, control checks, and audit trails

·       Ensure Boharr’s infrastructure supports, but does not dilute, client compliant obligations

C. Governance & Risk Oversight

·       Review new products, features, and integrations for a compliance impact

·       Ensure risk assessments are conducted prior to deployment

·       Oversee escalation and resolution of compliance-related incidents

·       Maintain independence from business and product functions

D. Technology & Data Oversight

·       Ensure system activities are traceable, verifiable, and audit-ready

·       Oversee data lineage, logging frameworks, and auditability

·       Ensure strong access controls and structured change management

·       Validate that systems prevent misuse or circumvention

E. Institutional Client Governance

·       Define criteria for onboarding institutional clients

·       Assess regulatory status and compliance risk exposure of clients

·       Apply enhanced oversight for higher-risk institutions

·       Ensure platform configuration aligns with client risk levels

F. Board & Internal Engagement

·       Provide periodic updates on compliance risks and regulatory developments

·       Present key observations and risk exposures to management

·       Support internal awareness on compliance expectations


Role Positioning

Boharr does not perform customer onboarding, KYC, or transaction monitoring.

These remain the responsibility of financial institutions using the platform.

The Principal Officer ensures that Boharr’s infrastructure enables these activities in a compliant, controlled, and auditable manner.


Role Delineation

  • The Principal Officer is accountable for compliance risk oversight and regulatory liaison
  • The Compliance Officer is responsible for compliance implementation, policies, secretarial and documentation


The Applicant

  • Possess a professional qualification or post-graduate degree/ diploma (at least one year) in finance, law, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital market, banking, insurance or actuarial science
  • At least 1 year of experience in AML/CFT, compliance, risk, or regulatory roles preferred
  • NISM certifications aligned with KYC, CTF, and AML preferred; candidate must pass the NISM‑IFSCA‑01 AML/CFT Certification upon joining
  • Working knowledge of PMLA, FIU-IND processes, and IFSCA regulations preferred
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or technology-led environments preferred
  • Ability to independently build frameworks, processes, and controls
  • Strong ownership and ability to engage with regulators
