About the Role
We are looking for a Principal iOS Engineer with 11–14 years of strong iOS engineering experience to join our engineering team in Gurgaon.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who is not just an architect on paper, but someone who continues to design, build, review, optimize, and scale production-grade mobile applications.
You will play a key role in defining the technical direction of large-scale consumer-facing mobile products while remaining deeply involved in engineering and coding.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable iOS applications using Swift.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, system design, development, and engineering practices.
- Continue to be hands-on with production-quality code and contribute to critical engineering initiatives.
- Design scalable and maintainable iOS architectures for large-scale consumer applications.
- Drive application modularization and establish clean architectural patterns.
- Analyze and solve complex problems involving scalability, reliability, concurrency, and performance.
- Design systems capable of supporting high traffic and large user bases.
- Work closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Conduct architecture and code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
- Identify technical risks and drive initiatives to improve application stability, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor senior engineers and help build a strong engineering culture.
- Participate in technical decision-making and define long-term engineering roadmaps.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive them to resolution.
- Promote clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and engineering excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- 11–14 years of professional iOS engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Swift and iOS development.
- Strong hands-on programming and software engineering capabilities.
- Extensive experience building consumer-facing mobile applications at scale.

- Strong understanding of mobile application security and performance.
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
Good to Have
- Experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Experience with Combine / async-await.
- Experience with dependency injection and modular application architecture.
- Experience building highly scalable mobile platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD and mobile release automation.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, crash analytics, and observability.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience mentoring senior/principal engineers.
