We are seeking an experienced Senior to Principal Hydrogeology Engineer (8 - 15 years experience) to lead groundwater projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality hydrogeological assessments and groundwater control solutions.
Project & Team Management
- Manage project delivery, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Lead coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight and quality assurance.
- Contribute to proposals and business development initiatives.
Technical Leadership
- Lead hydrogeological groundwater assessments, including evaluation of groundwater rise and long-term impacts on infrastructure.
- Interpret and review packer tests, falling/rising head tests, and pumping test data to assess aquifer parameters, safe yield, and well performance.
- Develop, calibrate, and review 3D groundwater flow and solute transport models (MODFLOW, MT3DMS, GMS, FEFLOW, or equivalent).
- Perform water balance and mass balance assessments to support sustainable groundwater management.
- Apply GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and Python/FloPy to enhance data analysis, visualization, and modelling workflows.
Dewatering & Groundwater Control
- Lead the design and review of construction dewatering systems and long-term groundwater control solutions.
- Prepare and oversee design calculations, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Develop and review hydrogeological reports, dewatering plans, and groundwater impact assessments.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, project management, and client-facing experience.
- Proven ability to manage teams and deliver complex groundwater projects successfully.
- 8–15+ years of experience in hydrogeological engineering, groundwater modelling, and dewatering design.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering (Water Resources), or related field.
