- Translate product requirements into scalable and reusable hardware architectures.
- Lead complete hardware product development from concept to production.
- Define platform-level architecture for FPGA, processor, high-speed interfaces, clocks, power and analog/RF subsystems.
- Drive design decisions considering performance, cost, reliability, manufacturability and scalability.
- Establish reusable hardware platforms and design standards across multiple products.
High-Speed Digital Design
- Lead design of high-speed digital systems involving:
- PCIe Gen3/Gen4
- DDR4/DDR5
- 1G/10G Ethernet
- USB 3.x
- LVDS
- High-speed serial transceivers
- SFP/SFP+
- FPGA interfaces
- Review signal integrity, power integrity, PCB stack-up and high-speed routing.
- Work closely with PCB designers and SI/PI engineers to ensure robust designs.
FPGA & Embedded Hardware
- Architect FPGA-based instrumentation platforms using AMD/Xilinx or Intel FPGAs.
- Define interfaces between FPGA, ADC/DAC, DDR, processors and high-speed communication interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with FPGA and embedded software teams.

- Lead architecture and review of mixed-signal hardware involving:
- High-speed ADC/DAC
- Precision analog circuits
- Clocking and synchronization
- PLLs and frequency synthesizers
- Filters
- RF signal chains
- Low-noise analog design
- Experience in RF instrumentation or SDR hardware will be a strong advantage.
Power & Thermal
- Define multi-rail power architecture for complex electronic systems.
- Review DC/DC converters, LDOs, PMICs, sequencing and power integrity.
- Work with mechanical teams on thermal management and system-level thermal design.
Hardware Validation & Productization
- Define hardware verification and validation strategy.
- Lead bring-up, debugging and root-cause analysis of prototype hardware.
- Use laboratory equipment such as:
- Oscilloscopes
- Spectrum analyzers
- Vector Network Analyzers
- Logic analyzers
- Power analyzers
- Electronic loads
- Drive EMI/EMC compliance, reliability testing and product qualification.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams on DFM, DFT, ICT, functional testing and production ramp-up.
Technical Leadership
- Build and mentor the hardware engineering team.
- Establish hardware design methodologies, review processes and engineering standards.
- Conduct architecture, schematic, PCB and design reviews.
- Identify new technologies and components relevant to Test & Measurement products.
