Lenz AI, a Silicon Valley innovation studio and fast-growing startup, is building the next generation of AI-powered strategy and innovation systems. We are currently onboarding customers and working towards a potential angel fundraise in a few months. We are looking for a Full stack development AI engineer who can help us take the product from the AI pilot stage to a robust AI product for the fund raise.
The AI product: Our flagship platform, astra, is a suite of AI agents that do strategy, consulting and innovation work for Fortune 500 companies and top-tier consulting firms. This is the transformation of the $1T consulting, strategy, and innovation industry workflows through Agentic AI systems.
Role Description
We are seeking a Principal FullStack AI Development Engineer/Software Architect with future potential to grow into a CTO role. This is a full-time, remote position. In this role, you will lead the design and development of end-to-end software solutions, combining expertise in AI development, software architecture, and full-stack engineering.
You will work directly with the founder and leadership team to transform advanced AI concepts into enterprise-grade products used by consulting firms, product organizations, and innovation leaders.
You will play a foundational role in building:
- Multi-agent AI systems
- RAG pipelines
- AI orchestration frameworks
- Enterprise AI infrastructure
- Human-AI collaboration experiences
- Scalable AI-native products
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1 : Pilot – Product
Full Stack Platform Development
- Design, architect, and productize Astra from Pilot to Product.
- Develop front-end interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular
- Build robust backend systems using Node.js, Python, or Java
- Create APIs and microservices to support AI agent orchestration
- Develop enterprise-grade authentication, authorization, and user management systems
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Translate AI workflows into intuitive user experiences
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps
- Deploy and manage infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Design scalable AI infrastructure for enterprise workloads
- Build CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployments
- Implement monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting systems
- Optimize cloud cost, performance, and security
- Support secure enterprise deployments including private cloud and on-premise architectures
Phase 2 – AI Development
AI & Agentic Systems Engineering
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- Build and optimize AI orchestration pipelines for multi-agent collaboration
- Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source models
- Engineer prompt frameworks and reasoning workflows for strategic analysis agents
- Implement semantic search systems using vector databases such as Pinecone or Weaviate
- Build memory systems for persistent contextual intelligence across user sessions
- Work on advanced agentic workflows involving
Enterprise Integrations/ Productization & Innovation
- Help evolve Astra from MVP into a scalable enterprise platform
- Contribute to AI product strategy and technical roadmap decisions
- Experiment with emerging AI technologies and agentic frameworks
- Collaborate on future innovation concepts and platform capabilities
- Drive technical feasibility analysis for new product ideas
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field with strong academic background. Exceptional practical experience and AI engineering portfolios will also be strongly considered.
- Strong experience in full-stack application development
- Proficiency in: React / Next.js / Angular, Node.js / Python / Java, REST APIs and microservices
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with vector databases and semantic search systems
- Experience building or integrating AI/LLM systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MS Computer Science or Equivalent
- Understanding of consulting, strategy, or innovation workflows
- Experience working in startups or fast-moving product environments
- Exposure to multi-agent orchestration systems
Compensation: ₹24L – ₹36L INR per annum
(depending on experience, technical depth, and startup alignment)
