Job Title: Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Retail/E-commerce)
Location: India (Remote Working)
Role Overview
As a Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of Product Management, AI Engineering, and Software Engineering. Embedding directly with our retail and e-commerce clients, you will translate ambiguous business requirements into production-ready AI solutions. You will own the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, leveraging agentic workflows and LLMs to accelerate development and ship scalable, high-impact systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer-Facing AI Delivery: Work alongside stakeholders to scope, design, and deploy advanced AI solutions tailored to the retail and e-commerce sectors.
- AI-Accelerated Engineering: Utilize AI coding assistants and LLMs to rapidly prototype and integrate robust ML architectures, maintaining engineering rigor.
- End-to-End MLOps: Build scalable data pipelines, automate model deployment, and implement monitoring for concept and data drift in live environments.
Required Qualifications
- Domain Experience: 5+ years of hands-on, end-to-end ML deployment experience specifically within the Retail sector.
- Modern Cloud Certifications: You must hold at least one of the following modern, agent-based or advanced architectural cloud certifications:
- Microsoft Azure: Azure AI App and Agent Developer Associate (AI-103) AND Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate OR AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Professional Machine Learning Engineer (post-October 2024 update).
- Databricks: Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional.
- Portfolio: A GitHub profile featuring 3-5 comprehensive "Hero Projects" demonstrating reproducible MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and production-grade architectural documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Competitive Excellence: A verifiable Top 10% leaderboard finish in global predictive modelling competitions on Kaggle or Analytics Vidhya.
- Thought Leadership: Published technical thought leadership, tutorials, or academic papers on platforms like Medium, Substack, or peer-reviewed journals with demonstrated peer engagement.
